Synopsis

All over the world, education is attracting  even increasing attention. Today, when the world  is already at 21st century, education has been considered to be an inseparable part of human life, It goes without saying that education has transformed the entire human race from the “stone age to computer age” where inquisitive human minds succeeded in translating many of their imaginations into reality. Or in words, human society has been stepping into modern age of science and technology crossing the primitive, pastoral and agricultural ages.
Over the past five decades Nepal has made tremendous progress in educating its citizens. The general literacy rate has jump from 2 percent in 1950 to 53 percent today. Government investment in the sector has increased considerably, reaching around 15 percent  of the total annual budget.
On the other hand education sector in Nepal has made a progress by leaps and bound, on the other hand from strikes and political intervention to insurgency and a sence of insecurity. The education sector is facing assaults from various fronts in this dawn of the new millennium, Nepal’s education sector is in dire need  of a fresh impetus to move ahead.
In fact the education sector of the country in mired in problems, yet some  assiduous young students, who are desirous to receive higher education, still find their way out to peruse advanced education in various reputed foreign universities. Among many such popular, foreign universities where Nepali students pursue advanced education, the USA is the most sought destination for the majority of Nepali students. Without doubt theses youths go to the states and seriously embark on their studies in order to earn a professional degree or so, but all is not end here. There are still many vicissitudes that a student is likely to face in this alien land. In relation to their education in USA, there are some relevant questions that many Nepali parents and students have to adjusted to the American Universities.
On the other hand, there are many private collages in the country itself which vociferously claim to provide quality on a par with any foreign collages.
How far these colleges are true to their ‘words and deeds’ or it is merely business rhetoric to tout students so that they could improve their collage enrollments?
Does Nepali curriculum itself sufficient to impart  a pragmatic education at par with foreign curriculum?
What are the lurking doubts that always haunt the mind of Nepali students?
What are the problems of the most parents while sending off their children of foreign universities? Like this there could be several other most pertinent questions, but their answer is yet to be found.
Team work film Production (TWFP) has made a humble attempt to highlight this phenomenon. We planned to make this documentary encompass every vital aspect of the subject matter.
