AATMA TRIO came together in the year 2008 with the aspiration to unite the sounds from around the globe. This is a proficient Nepalese Hindustani Classical fusion with a twist from sliding guitar, tabala and percussions.
The sound has been reaching new audiences with their most recent performances as such as Sun Dance Festival 2008, Moksh Live, Taranga and many more. Individually they have participated in many musical events in different parts of the world like U.K., Philippines, India, Singapore and South East Asian Country as a whole.

I. MR. JEEWAN RAI : TABALA
Mr. Jeewan Rai’s was born from a musical family. His father is a renowned percussionist from India. He learnt more from Maestro Sri Fakira and Sri Santa Kuma Rai.
He obtained his honor in music from RABINDRA BHARATI UNIVERSITY, Calcutta, India, and his Masters Degree on Tabala with a Gold Medal Achievement.
He has performed with different great artists and legendary musicians from Nepal like Mr. Gopal Yonzan, Aruna Lama, Ganesha Rashik and Fatteman, etc.
Mr. Rai regularly performed at Kirateshwor, Ram Mandir, and Russian Culture Center. His international gigs performances usually from India, Singapore and rest of South East Asian Countries.

Jeewan Rai is also a versatile teacher from NEPAL MUSIC SCHOOL. He recorded more than fifty songs with Nepali Musicians and international Jazz artist from Norway, Japan, and China and with his latest album from AATMA TRIO.
II. MR. ROSHAN SHARMA : GUITAR/CHATURANGI (SLIDING

Mr. Roshan Sharma is a multi-instrumentalist. He started with music at the age of 11. He was inspired by his elder brother. He studied Jazz Theory from Mr. Jessie Van Ruiler. He learnt Hindustani Classical music from the legendary Maestro, Sri Pandit Debashis Bhattacharya.
Mr. Sharma’s album includes from Sitapati and from various musicians from Nepal and recorded almost 50 songs.
He is also teaching at ULTIMATE GUITAR INSTITUTE in Dharan with 100 students.
His international performances were from India and South East Asian Countries. His national performances are as follows:

III. MR. MANOHAR GURUNG : MULTI- PERCUSSIONIST

Mr. Manohar Gurung is the country’s well-known multi-percussionist and virtuoso himself. Manohar Gurung is teaching percussions. His music field includes the thnic hand percussions from around the world. He has performed with the country’s famous band 1974 AD in the Carlsberg Rock Yatra in 2001 and Hits FM Awards.
Manohar went to Chennai, India to study carnatic music from the Ghatam Maestro and the Legendary Grammy Ward Winner Sri. Viku Vinayakram, and his son Maestro Sri. Umashankar.
Manohar Gurung is the “First Ghatam Player of Nepal” and his solo concert “Bringing Ghatam to Nepal” that was held in the year 2004 with the Indian Embassy.
He learnt the art of Bee Bop and the indigenous ethnic drumming of South East Asia from the UNIVERSITY OF PHILIPPINES.
His performances internationally and with international artists are as follows:
